We recently got our first official sneak peak at the upcoming 2012 Hyundai Azera, but the South Korean automaker keeps dropping new information and pictures on its mid-size sedan that will take its place between the Sonata and the Genesis. This time we have details on the engine options for the KDM version, which will continue to use the Grandeur nameplate.

In South Korea, the Azera will be offered with a choice of two naturally aspirated engines, both featuring direct-injection technology. The base model will be powered by the same 2.4-liter GDI four-cylinder gasoline unit found on the Hyundai Sonata and Kia Optima, while the flagship version will be motivated by a 3.0-liter GDi V6 delivering 270HP and 31.6 kg/m of peak torque.

The company states on the official brochure that the four-cylinder model will return an average fuel consumption of 12.8 km/lt (equal to 30.1 mpg US and 7.8 lt/100km), while the V6, 11.6 km/lt (27.3 mpg US or 8.6 lt/100km).

Hyundai has not made any comments or announcements regarding the powertrain options for the North American version of the Azera, though likely it will be offered exclusively with V6 engines. Recently, the South Korean automaker said that the Azera may get its North American debut at the New York Auto Show next April.

Blue drivetm ix20 version provides class-leading CO2 emissions level of just 114 g / km (1.4-liter diesel engine U2) makes these cars environmentally friendly.

Hyundai i40W, which will debut at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show in March 2011. The Hyundai i40W is designed to compete against the likes of the Volkswagen Passat, Opel Insignia and Ford Mondeo. It is capable of producing 177 horsepower and will be mated to company’s new dual clutch automatic transmission.The Hyundai i40 Coupe will be offered with both diesel and petrol engines, including a 1.7-litre and a 1.6-litre unit. The Hyundai i40 Coupe 1.7 diesel will be sold in two power output versions of 115bhp and 140bhp. The details of the Hyundai i40 Coupe 1.6 petrol are not yet clear, but it is known is that it will be offered with both a manual and an automatic transmission.

Hyundai is going to officially unveil the 2011 Hyundai Elantra at the LA Auto Show this coming Wednesday. But in the meantime little details about one of Hyundai's best-selling models have been leaking out.

It looks like all the new compact sedans are getting 40 mpg or more and the 2011 Elantra will now be included in that list. The Elantra will get 40 mpg on the highway and 29 mpg in the city. That puts it head to head with the 2012 Ford Focus and right behind the Chevy Cruze Eco that gets 42 mpg on the highway. The difference between the Cruze and the Elantra is that every Elantra will get 40 mpg, while only the Cruze Eco with a manual transmission achieves the 42 mpg rating.The Elantra will be powered by a 1.8L four-cyl that puts out 148 horsepower and 131 lb-ft. of torque.
